Boy, what to say, what to say. That's ultimately the problem with me and weblogs: I have such a dramatic life at times, that I don't feel like explaining what all's going on. Well, suffice to say that I only wish I could say that everything is good. It's work that's got me down. Everytime I think about having to go to work, I get kinda twitchy and stressed. I'm supposed to have some vacation time due to me through my temp service, I just need to get off my ass and call them.
A good example of the effect that work has on me: Last night, I went to my gf's after work to spend the night. She had some really nice bagpipe music playing and it was nice and calm and I kicked back and read while she washed her cats and such and then we just sat on her couches reading in silence. I was more relaxed than I've ever been. So, we're in bed, cuddling, gettin' ready to sleep, and she asks if I have to work this weekend (Yes! ). Upon thinking about it, I immediately tensed up and my staved-off depression came back with a vengence. I had to sit up in bed for awhile while I tried to think of something to take my mind off of it. For better or worse, when I'm around my gf, I can't raise my defenses regarding this stuff. Was good in it's own right, I ended up talking about alot of stuff while I was half-awake and she was nice enough to listen to it all.
On another note, it looks like my Rocky cast is trying to build up steam again. Our Frank though (due to drama and cast bs) has quit and with him quiting comes the risk of several of us who have been affected by cast drama leaving as well. I'd love to keep doing the show on the traditional times (i.e. Halloween and New Year's), but to do what amounts to a lip-synch show once a month or once every 3-4 months just seems like too much. I want to try my hand at actual acting. And....I might be able to sing if I work on it...So I wouldn't mind doing Rocky Horror Show more often and having weekly rehearsals for something like that...but weekly rehearsals for Rocky Horror Picture Show? That's overkill by my book.
