Things I need to stop doing:
shopping
eating too much salt
eating too much sugar
eating so much meat

Things I need to start doing:
finishing my projects
getting rid of things in my apartment that I do not need
cultivating marketable skills
working out every day

I am with you on the projects thing. I have so many ideas and I buy all the stuff I need to do them then just kind of get distracted or forget or ... what were we talking about?
jb_pdxs:
This is an inspirational list. I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff at my place and live leaner. I so want to work out everyday too! It's so hard to stay motivated when you are busy.

I wish I could just get paid to be creative all day.

g_whiz:
Even if you get paid to be creative, it's never all day. Most of your day is taken up with some bureaucratic bs or another, with short interludes of creativity. I guess that's the nature of getting paid. People want to know why they're giving you money. The bastards.
morningstar:
Work is work. Some days it harder to to be creative than others. It can be more work to force creativity.

I'm not running away from my problems, I'm running toward the unknown. Towards something new, something... else.

I need to move.

Psh! Better than your stinky old earthquakes, fake boobs and trying to grow grass in a desert!

I buy that.

I was reading someone's dating profile and he said he "wants to know where the nice girls hang out - and avoid it"

I don't think I can deal with people who thrive on chaos and intentionally seek/create it. It just seems like they are looking for trouble, I feel that life throws enough curve balls your way as it is, why not create something...

Guess what, assholes? Hospital visitation rights have NOTHING to do with infringing on traditional marriage. How about you stop being a dick?

edit:
My post is based on this

J.P. Duffy, vice president for communications at the Family Research Council, said Obama is pandering to a radical special interest group.

"There are many other ways to deal with this issue, whether through a health care...

Eee! One of my best friends just asked if I could do her engagement photos. I'm not a pro or anything (though I've taken some cool shots before) but I'll work for free and it sounds like fun!

Where can I rent a camera? and get a crash course on how to use it? Hah.

Edit: I've been advised to get a Canon G11

But...

Thanks... I need a little alone time now.

I have been _quite_ happy with my Nikon. I got a slightly cheaper body so I could then afford a really awesome VR lens... (plus I think if I get a better body it just makes it take 10 minutes longer to get the same shot I'd get on the less fancy unit). eventually if I get a better Nikon body this lens will still be usable (and still awesome)

edited to add - you are awesomeness. I totally miss running into you it's been forever!!

Still on the fence about attending SG Prom this year.

I do love getting dressed up (and even more so in costumes) and I LOVE getting to see and hang out with everyone but I already have a trip to SF planned for May 1st and I have so many expenses this year. So much traveling has already been planned and I need a way...

...and surprise! I am being billed for the physical therapy that I had to... take? do? participate in? last year after my tree/sledding incident. I have to pay $600 because I didn't reach my deductible for the year? I don't get any of this but I wish they had explained this fact to me when I had called initially to ask how much this was...

A blog post entitled: I went from negative to positive

1. By next week I will have no credit card debit and be essentially debt free aside from my insignificant monthly student loan payment. Not that it isn't a large total sum, I just have very small monthly payments, which I am fine with.

2. I'm a consumer. Not just in the "business vs consumer"...

I've been watching a lot of Coupling, and here's why:

Do you know what asses are, Patrick?
Asses are the human races' favorite thing.

We like them on each other. We like them on magazine covers. We even like them on babies. When we're alone we scratch them. When there's a fire we like to warm them. And who among us, in a lonely moment,...

Twenty seven. That's old right? I know anyone who is over 27 will tell me it isn't old.

Previously, life has always been a a bunch of "I wonder what [preferred age] will be like." I never chose 27. I've thought about 17, 21, 24, 26, 30, 32, 45, even 60 (though I'm afraid I to even live that long). I suspect it won't be...

Sorry I missed your birthday festivities!
I'm sure there were good times had by all?

So uhm. Happy belated birthday!
jb_pdxs:
Happy Birthday! It sounds like you are definitely questioning and feeling all of those one year older things.

That never really changes, however, it's all in the attitude. Kind of like life, ya know?

Also, thinking about those more "age appropriate" things like dressing nice etc...can help your self inner confidence, I mean that it works for me. Hope you are doing good.
