great afternoon's surfing at fistral south, sun out, clean waves, even some hooters on the beach + got some gardening done.

but ya gotta love hooters!

nice chillout in the hammock with my new indian mantra cd - pasta and a bottle of white tonight methinks.

(and i didn't wake up in my own bed this morning, yay!)

my brother-in-law works for a doubleglazing company and thurs morning whilst carrying a piece of glass, it broke and tried to cut his arm off.

it sliced below the left bicep right through the muscle, taking out ALL the tendons...

getting used to working weekends and having week days off - quite flexible company too.

bristol carling academy is a great venue and as expected the betaband were excellent. the support was from fellow scots the magnificents (similar stuff).

bit of a flat spot with the surf lately but sold three wetsuits today! smile

coupla days off - going to bristol tonight to see the mighty betaband, the new album is great, if a bit less "experimental".

most of my family hail from that area so i'll drop in and see my old grandad on the way, (not been for over a year, whoops!)

how cool is not getting up early?

For Bataille- sure you could start there, I mean- you could jump in anywhere- just do, you wont be disappointed. If you want something lighterThe Collected Poems of Georges Bataille beautiful (even though they are mostly about death). You might also want to try Visions of Excess: Selected Writings. He is also known for Death and Sensuality a study of erotic drive and taboo. Of course interesting, at times very slow- but it has one of my favorite quotes which I thought was his and now believe to be de Sade, the urge towards love, pushed to its limit, is an urge towards death.

if you really need to compress it then do it while its still a wav yes , and do it before you convert it to 16bit 44.1k . I do not compress mine or other peoples that much , i leave that to big production mastering houses . The same goes for eq , i just tail of the low end sometimes , if all the parts are ok then so will the whole. wink

job interview today at prosurf, fingers crossed, actually felt confident talking about stuff i know for a change.

surfed at newquay harbour (towan) this afternoon, (notice a pattern forming here?) 3-4 foot, offshore + clean, too many people in the water.

chanted 'om' for the first time last night in yoga class and far from feeling a twat, i'm quite serene today.
