If you want something lighterThe Collected Poems of Georges Bataille beautiful (even though they are mostly about death). You might also want to try Visions of Excess: Selected Writings. He is also known for Death and Sensuality a study of erotic drive and taboo. Of course interesting, at times very slow- but it has one of my favorite quotes which I thought was his and now believe to be de Sade, the urge towards love, pushed to its limit, is an urge towards death.
