Well if Feb. was shit, and i have been grumpy, March looks to make up for it.
I gotta go on a management course on the 16th that lasts three weeks. The man from the Princes trust says it will help my panel application and they will be more likely to offer me funding.
2 parties lined up - my cousin got engaged and is havin a bash, and later on this month someone in my mates familly is having rather a large birthday affair. An old friend is up this weekend and another college mate is visiting on the 17th, which usually involves lots of drinking and strip clubs.
I feel brighter already.
3 job apps went in, and another 2 apps to funders. Fingers crossed. Ouch , I forgot my hand is still broken.
Have a look at my pics and tell me what you think. (plz say nice things...)
Uncomfortably Numb live at La Barbacoa
"machette bob"
My Fender Strat.
Its candy apple red, rewired to Tele specs and retrofitted with Don Lace Sensors (neck and bridge). I can't play it for a while, my hand is broken and I'm itching to make noise.
Anthony Gormley "Another Place"
I live ten minutes from this beach and have done for 20 years. The installation cost 60 000.
I have been around this beach for the better part of my life and never known the same sky twice. There is a sense of perspective here and the hundred metal figures lend themselves well to the atmosphere. The beach was there before them, and it will be there long after they rust to nothing. Its probablly been said of many other places, but "the veil between heaven and earth is thin here"
Bodyscape (Ahemmm...)
Anthony Walker Memorial Event.
I was asked to make a folio of images for the Walker familly at a Memorial Event after the tragic death of Anthony. Thousands of people of mixed culture and creed gathered to show solidarity and make a stand against racial hatred. There was music and a bascketball tournament and the sun shone all day.
The Silhouettes
Pop Levi and the Emergencies
These two were taken at a festival that a mate of mine was involved in setting up. 8 hours of back to back bands on 2 stages.
This one was taken in my mate's back kitchen and the backround was cut in Photoshop to make it look like a studio shot.
Peace Lilly....this one speaks for itself.
Finally done...took me a while doin this entry, hope you
bloody well like it!
