Sometimes the smartest people are actually the dumbest people around. They tend to over analyze things, come to a conclusion that only matters to them, and care more about a subject than others...which simply makes them...in their own world, better than everyone else. However, the worst part of them is how they treat other people and their lack of ability to deal with people.
My ex works for a lasik eye surgeon who is an infamous brainchild prodigy in that proffession. And yet, despite all his good grades in doctor school, he has no ability to understand how he should be treating his patients, doesn't know when he is contridicting himself, and expects everyone to know what is on his mind even though he doesn't tell them what it is exactly that is on his mind. He's just too smart for his own good....because he thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
He's one example of why everyone hates their bosses.
but anyways...everyone is smart in their own little way. When someone cares about a certain topic more than someone else, I don't see it as being smarter than someone else. see it as being someone who cares about a certain topic more than others. So, when I see a NICK BURNS on some non-techie forum..mocking kids because they don't care about computers like he does, I take the time to point it out and boy do I get some really childish responses from those Nick Burn types. It's like they are breathing so hard from the flaming I give....they can't type back without shaking their fingers...spouting out insults a 5 year old in the Compton would call "gay." Then they just dissapear for a while and come back a little more tamer.....
And as far as I am concerned, my ex is far more intelligent and smarter than the doctor. That doc just has the studies and know hows of his professions....but when it comes to common sense, working the front office, managing people, winning the trust of potential patients, and dealing with his crap....she's the MVP. she makes the people around her better...
but that's just me........

I've noticed that on here. Sometimes (in certain threads) if you just simply disagree with someone, you get these childish "insults" hurled you way. And of course then their buddies come with their little "insults". Oh well people aren't all bad. I rule.
