so twice, prayer helped me out on my two court dates.
it's actually odd how everything has turned out...like as if it was all planned out and meant to be in my favor. spirituality sure does play mind games......
anyways...last thursday I went snowboarding until sunday at Mammoth. My first time and I had a blast. At first, I hated the cold weather so I didn't want to go because I lived on the East coast for like 3 years and the cold weather made me as bitter to it as the locals on that coast.
thursday was the day I got in and the snow was as icey as a hockey rink. I was falling on my ass, knees, palms, and back...and I wiped out 4 times, 3 of them with my head boucing off the ice like a head of cabbage. sounded like it too. this was all on my first run tho...it took the 2nd run for me to figure out how to shift my weight and make turns....and by saturday, I was at the top of the mountain slicing through powder as the snowstorm tried to force me to $hit in my pants.
in the aftermath, my aches were so bad that when I laid down on my back I had to grab my hair just to pull my head up since my neck was too sore and strained. also, my stomache muscles felt like I had done a thousand sit ups.....but that felt great.
since my brother came....who is a student of the culinary arts....we had a feast as well at the lodge we were staying at. we had white chocolate cocoa with real cream, which made it taste nice and buttery. he cooked us pot roast, filipino style ribs, roasted garlic rice and mashed potatos, biscuits.....and other hearty stuff that included bacon and a lumberjacks version of a fried rice.
I had a blast...and to top it all off, I got off with just barely a slap to the wrist for the trouble that was upon me. i get to finish school without a hitch in the road......I just hope nothing else happens to me to make that hitch go "BOOM!"
karma...be kind to me.

What's going on is we're all laying low while "spring cleaning" is going on. Folks are getting zotted at an accelerated rate.
