sobriety is a frothing dog from hell*
last friday, i had five teeth sawed out of my head. four wisdom teeth and the 2nd molar on the lower right side of my mouth, which was rotted down to a nub (mmm, attractive) due to being knocked into by one of the said wisdom teeth for so long. it's funny that i experienced some of the worst physical pain that i've ever felt in my life in the week leading up to the extraction, but now, after having had them removed, i feel fine. i'm not swollen or anything. but i can't drink or smoke for a week*.
in less disgusting news, the honda grand prix of st. petersburg took place this past weekend. in case you aren't a gear person, it was kind of a big deal. the first non-oval race in the history of the IRL, and it took place five blocks from my apartment! i bought a $55 grandstand ticket from a scalper for twenty bucks and watched the qualifying runs on saturday, and then i got to watch the big show on sunday afternoon on ESPN. i love seeing my home town on a national stage. congratulations to st. pete resident dan wheldon for winning it
i might drive to tallahassee this friday night to see kid koala and stay with some friends, but i might not.
'sin city' was pretty great.
i am listening to the dead 60's.
over & out
-koen
UPDATE 9:18pm: tonight, i discovered sherbert (i refuse to spell it 'sherbet'). i needed something cold to eat, but ice cream makes you a fatty. it is amazing! not only is it low in calories and sat fats, but it is icy and delicious. had i not had my teeth removed, i might have gone through life without ever having tried this stuff
