Childhood Adventure
The moon so brilliant upon no other night,
Such as it is,
Wicked presence fills our world.
A child lying within the calm of the meadow,
Peers gleefully upon the star scattered sky,
His thoughts run wild upon the appearance of the moon,
Will he shutter upon this find?
Instead his thoughts are filled with joy,
Hoping for a night such as this.
An encounter like no other,
Will he remember this night?
As he heads for home,
His thoughts running ample.
Now he lies within the security of his bed,
Thinking to himself,
Quietly he says "I will venture to the meadow's tomorrow".
Slowly drifting to sleep,
This night unlike all other nights,
Wandering in his dreams,
Upon tomorrow's adventure.
