Almost 1500 Days
Trapped within my jail cell,
Four white walls,
One window to peer out of,
One door in which to open,
Room space is cold, tiresome, and unfriendly.
Periods of insanity made this cell
A torture chamber.
Calling with distress am I not whole,
Pleading has left burdens of a thousand souls,
Bearing down my shoulders,
My thoughts have wandered endless jaunts,
All to end in devastating destruction,
Pleas of forgiveness,
Cold,
Unwillingness
Is its reply?
Simple the only solution can be but one,
Maybe a second may occur,
Peering out my window,
Seeing life from within,
Opening the door,
Hesitating to look back,
A smile with no remorse,
Exit,
Never to open again.
