Wow, I've been totally neglecing the SG blog action. Sadly, I have decided to suck on Rupert Murdoch's corporate teat recently, and I've been doing most of my significant updates on myspace.
To catch anyone who might actually read this up, I'm still dealing with the fallout from my mom passing away in December. Who knew there was so much paperwork and crap? It's amazing how many people want copies of the death certificate. I'm still not entirely sure that I beleive she's gone, but all evidence points to this being an unescapable fact. Emotionally, I'm doing ok, but I've been having to tap into my long dormant (absent?) organizational skills to get stuff moving.
On a happier note, I've been getting back into music more. I picked up some dope recording gear (MOTU traveler, mics, etc), as well as finally getting around to geting a new head (Dual Recifier) for my guitar rig. Finally, I've been trying to teach myself trombone, a longstanding goal of mine. I know people don't really listen to ska anymore, but I've never been able to get over it. I just love those synchopated beats.
It seems that everyone in my office is still sick. I took a long weekend (friday and monday off) last week, and came back to a total plague pit. I even had to send my boss home the other day - I even got him to not come in the next day. I love it when people actually listen to me.
Today I'm going to kick around the house until this afternoon, then I'm going to roll down to Pahoa and see what's up with the tattoo pattern I asked for last year. The artist (and I presume owner) of Habitat Tattoo told me it would take a couple of months - it's been more like 5. Hoepfully, it's done and she just forgot to call me. I guess I'll find out.
Allright my little bitches, I'm off to clean the kitchen and do laundry. Yay domesticity.
