Ive been listening to alot of Deftones, Their self titled album that came out in 2003 especially and what I sometimes like to do especially with albums that I thoroughly enjoy is to see what other peoples takes on albums are, the review below definately puts into words what I had thought about it since I first heard it. Now u may ask "So What" But u must understand that music is my passion, so to be able to verbalize why an album like this is relevent to me is as tight as it can get......

I would have never known that on june 16, 2004 a friend of mine would buy himself, and burn me, an album that would change my life. I've had a hard time trying to find the words to express how much I loved this album, so I've put off writing a review for it. After a while I realized that I'd probably never find the right words to do this album justice, so I'll just say whats on my mind... From the opening screams of "Hexagram" to the amazing closer that is "Moana", this album lives, breathes and screams perfection. I've since gotten "White Pony", "Around The Fur" and "Adrenaline", and Although I love them all, none (for me) will ever compair to their self-titled effort. Its that feeling you get when you discover a band so insanely good, so worth your precious time, that you never want to Let Go. I can remember when I heard "lucky you" (The only track that stuck at first listen) for the first time. It was unlike anything I'd ever heard before, and THAT is what makes an album good (Something fresh, new and original). I own so many albums (Music is my life) and I've heard every lame excuse for "Screamo" out there, so yeah, at first listen I wasn't terribly impressed. But this is the kind of album you have to let grow on you, and once it does, it turns into a f****n obsession. Usually I'd do a track rundown, but its so hard for me to rate an album where I love every song as much as the next. The standouts though would have to be Lucky You and When Girls Telephone Boys, not to mention the lead single "Hexagram"...
I couldn't of said it better my self, If u don't listen to the Deftones pick up any of their albums, and see what you think. Id say Around the Fur or their self titled album that I spoke about especially.
