I don't usually (ever?) write any personal stuff here since few (any) people stop by my page and not many (any?) really care, but I have to mention this and wonder how many others are in a similar position.
For the past few days I've been having chest pains, sometimes pretty severe. And along with them come of course the pain in the arm, headaches, etc. The proverbial, stereotypical heart attack warnings and such. But I haven't gone to a doctor or the ER and why? The obvious - I don't have health insurance! Me and half the rest of America. I seem to prefer the idea of actually having the heart attack so they have to admit and treat me rather than taking the (quote) precautionary (unquote) route, thereby owing a bazillion dollars for tests that end up showing either (a) I have indigestion, or (b) it's anxiety because my girlfriend dumped me (true fact) or (c) I need bypass surgery! STAT! So I can owe the hospital and doctors a hundred bazillion more dollars.
So here's my question: how many of you in the U.S. are in my position, insurance (or lack thereof)-wise? And what would you do? And how about those of you outside the U.S., where you have your own political problems but not our particular brand of American Neanderthal right wing that hates the idea of anyone other than their rich friends and themselves having any health protection?
P.S. If I don't follow up anytime soon with a blog it may be I'm dead, so it may be a LONG time before I get back to you. Just saying.

Do you even have to pay for a doctor's visit in the US? I've no idea how it all works. For what it's worth though, i went through a stage of getting really tight chest pains so I couldn't breathe properly, and dizziness, and it was anxiety. Hope you're ok
