Hey all,

Today's the last day of work for me so I'll be back on to chat starting tomorrow. In the meantime I get to go sit through another extremely long 12 hour shift. The sad thing is it usually equals about 15 minutes of 'real' work and then 11 hours and 45 minutes of me sitting on my ass watching movies, playing games, etc. If only there weren't big time firewalls set up at work I could chat with ya'll more often! At least I'm getting paid big bucks to sit on my ass!

Other than that I can't wait until I'm back in the Springs! Don't get me wrong, I will miss some things in Bosnia, but I want to get home to my wife and family and get me some good eats! That and I miss Pikes Peak!! It's good to be able to say, oh, there's west and know where I'm going!

Just little old me again, doing my thang...OK, so maybe I'm not so little but hey, it is me and here I am making another little entry into my journal. OK, so maybe not so little and entry but, ah, hell, let's just get on with it! smile

As usual, life is pretty boring out here right now. I've got 37 days until I get to go back to the States and I'm looking forward to it! It'll be nice to be able to go to a grocery store again and have the selection of foods available that I want to make! That and to have my kitchen and kitchen tools back!! I've been keeping it simple out here since I get to eat at the Army Chow Hall whenever I want for free. Every once in awhile though I make something, take this morning for example, breakfast burrito's, Knight42 style! smile One thing I really miss though are good buffalo style chicken wings! frown

I just got back from having dinner with the landlords family. I figured I'd bring them all out for a nice dinner to show my appreciation for everything they've done for me this year. They are a great bunch of people and they are one thing I will absolutely miss when I leave Bosnia. We had it all tonight! Appetizers galore, dinner, dessert and cappucino. For 7 people having all that food in a 'fancy' restaurant cost about $100. I shudder to think how much it would have cost in a middle class restaurant back in the States! Probably around $250 for the same stuff.

Man, I miss so much good food from the States! When I get back, first thing I'm doing is hitting Chipotles! I want a burrito for crying out loud! I can't wait to get real, non-radiated, milk again either! MMMM! Man, why am I talking so much about food when I just had a good meal that totally filled me up???

I want to send a shout out to my peeps FlipMuhPina and SexySadie, keep the messages coming! Oh, I did bring my dog in for his shots so he should be ready to come home with me. I want to see if I can get him a mild sedative for the trip though as he was a spaz in the car going to the vet. I can't wait to see how he likes his new home!! Did you know that the Pekingese was considered royal to Chinese Dynasties thousands of years ago??

Well, I'm done rambling. Nothing new to report but I'm glad to hear from my SG buddies! I think I'm headed to chat now since I haven't been there in awhile. Hope everyone is doing OK and that they're keeping it as 'real' as they can! smile
