faun fables show in chicago was fantastic. nils and dawn were stoked about the cookies i brought them and the cookie tin that amber painted for them. they even used a cookie during a skit onstage and announced thanks to me for bringing them "from the kitchens of kansas city". very nice. love is warm. when Sleepytime Gorilla Museum comes to the Hurricane June 11, i'll give nils the new portrait i took of him and dawn after the show. hopefully, dawn will be there too. the sweetest people.

too much too fast.
got back from chicago and right back into work, amplified, it seems. worked every day starting at 8. same old shit. the parasite woman came and stayed with me on saturday and sunday night, bringing me details about her most recent high drama, wanted to use my washing machine and some home cooking, a shower, cigarettes, and a warm bed.
in spite of potentially being deemed as weak, i gave her her little safe spot vacation from her life, and sent her on her way, no harm done, but i wish she'd stay away while she learns to shed her drama. i don't want it, i don't need it.
busted out a kick ass dinner though. it was actually a rehearsal for my cooking class final this week. cream of asparagus soup is bomb nuts! hit me up for the recipe.
today was my day off. back to work at 7:30 tomorrow. ugh.
