what a fantastic weekend it turned out to be.
started kinda rough...sat through an eight hour drug and alcohol class for my diversion requirements which killed most of the day, then came home and right about the time i was gonna take a nap, the girl i want nothing to do with drops in. of course. she's wanting to see if the tapestry she paid me to get her off ebay had arrived yet and to pick up the tom waits cds i told her i'd burn her.... then she wants to eat, so we do that. then the worm turns. she's gonna leave my house soon, and my forbidden love, mara shows up. with no apparent animosity, the parasite girl leaves and mara and i get a rare chance to hang out. it was very sweet. we kissed a little, not made out, mind you. like i said, very sweet. then i went to work and since it was so slow, i stood around and talked to this couple about redrocks and my electric kazoo and django and old jazz and tom waits and sleepytime gorilla museum and ween and a bunch of other cool shit that people around here rarely know about. they give me their phone number, i gave them a cd. left work with a big goofy smile, came home and made a chocolate custard pie.
then today i find out that Faun Fables is playing in warrensburg tomorrow night, right after i bought a plane ticket to chicago to hang out with my soul twin for a day and see Faun Fables when they play there on may 2...
nice to have things go so well for a moment.
