years ago, i told them that if they come within 500 or so miles of me, that i'd go see them.
since then, i've seen them in denver twice and chicago, and they've been through kansas city three or four times.
i have a place to stay in chicago, but both times that i've driven to denver to see them, i drove the 8 hours there, saw the concert, hung out with them for about an hour afterward and then drove the 8 hours back.
it was madness, and i'm finally half-admitting that "i'm too old for this shit."
so this time is different.
i've never been to indianapolis, but it's about the same drive time/distance as chicago, denver, dallas, or minneapolis. for this excursion, i rented a car (also something i've never done before), and reserved a hotel room.
a little later, i work. tonight i pack. tomorrow i see Faun Fables in a new setting. now i nap.
