Lifetime Fitness(PE 101) is a required class that i should have finished four years ago,
but i've been putting it off. two months from graduation, and i'm finally fulfilling that requirement.
part of the class is to go to the university's rec center, take the tour, then participate in one of the group classes. i was bummed that my friend George isn't teaching yoga up there this semester, so after perusing the class calendar, i opted for one called TRX, a 30 minute class. "i can do 30 minutes of anything," i said to myself.
i looked it up online and saw that it had to do with suspension. i didn't look much further into it, and i was under the impression that the suspension apparatus was made of bungee cords. i thought this class was going to involve bouncing and doing flips, kind of like reverse trampoline.
i was wrong.
there were only four other people in the class. i asked the instructor how much this was going to hurt in the morning. "we're working on abs today" is how she chose to answer that question.
although i was sweating a miniature monsoon 10 minutes into the class, i felt like i was doing pretty well. sit ups with yr feet in dangling stirrups is much more difficult than i imagined.
after the 30 minutes was up, i stood up and almost lost my balance from the head rush.
i rode my bike home and felt great the rest of the day.
when i woke up this morning though, i couldn't sit up. i had to roll over and kind of fall out of bed. my ribs, obliques, hips...hell, everything between my chest and my dick felt like they'd been through the old oranges-in-a-sock beating.
i say fuck you to people who say this is a good pain; i understand, but i disagree. fuck you!

kloiterra:
my hips hurt so bad that i had to take ibuprofen to sleep last night.
lillyjax:
Yeah dude, that sucks. The good thing is it won't hurt as bad the next day from now on. Trust me. I've been doing these insane bootcamp things myself and it's gotten much better. But it sounds like it was only one class you had to take, so I guess you can ignore what I just said.
