mardi gras is over,
crammed five days of fun into two nights
Met up with my friends (yeah, i have friends....jealous?) saw Mr. Quintron and Miss Pussycat play at One Eyed Jack's
on monday night, from there, it went kinda like this:
liquor, liquor, liquor, liquor, mountains of blow, beautiful women, liquor, liquor, restless sleep, relaxation, poor food decision, cab ride back to the quarter, liquor, liquor, Morning 40 Federation show, dancing with Denise, a beautiful evacuated-to-Austin, Texas woman all night, then to the airport too early, and finally waking up in the ongoing nightmare of being back in Kansas. Some pics were taken, the evidence can be seen here. A much needed shower, a one hour nap, then 10 hours of work and here we are.
I put my notice in last week, so next thursday is my last day of insulting my intelligence, skill and character cooking at this bar and grill, then to the new job with a raise, overtime, a uniform and benefits, not to mention the boss is one of my best friends...
Knowing that i'll not ever return to this place to work, and the fact that it's certainly not malice nor bitterness, but logic, reason and experience that leads me to call the owner completely inept and frankly, a complete fucking idiot...
burn this bridge or no?
sure would be fun to see the truth make a grown man cry, specifically this man, (or should i say grown up boy)...but like so many things, the thought may very well be more satisfying than the action....
i don't have a day off until i'm done there, and then i may start the new job the very next day, so who knows when i'll get some me time...
how i'm treated in the next 7 days decides whether i walk away in peace or douse the bridge in gasoline....
for now, must sleep.
my friends, all is good.
meine Freunde, alles ist gut.
mis amigos, todo son buenos.
mes amis, tout est bon.
whatthefuckever, goodnight.

It looks like you had a blast. So now back to reality huh? *sigh* As for the job you are leaving, I say use your best judgement. IF you are going to stay in the same industry I would say don't burn any bridges. You never know who you may be working for or with in the future of who they may know. I have had to leave some jobs before with malice in my heart but never on my lips. There are just some people who aren't worth your time and energy. Take it in stride and know that you are moving on to better yourself. As for Hank III, I do dig him but I do not dig Lawrence. So I probably won't be going to the show. I don't like going there by myself either. I hope that you can still get a ticket.
