I was finally able to get out and about and spend some quality time with my camera, who is now called Simon, thanks to llama, TheInsatiableFT, and g_whiz. While I do not feel in any position to do nudes this weekend (my female body is being rebellious right now) I did come up with some photos which I thought to be particularly awesome. And here they are!
I saw a lot of mushrooms today. This was the cutest.
This tree was gorgeous. I wanted to take it home with me.
I wish I could do a set inside this little gazebo area. Soooo lovely.
I founded a fountain!
An unexpected result of using the wide-angle lens. Very neat, but I'm glad I only used it for a few shots.
I loved playing with the manual focus.
On the SDSU campus, by the library.
Remember that Calvin and Hobbes strip where they kept finding garbage in their woods?
The rest of the photos, if you'd like to see them, can be found at my Flickr profile. They're all public, so you shouldn't have any problems seeing them.
In other news, I am reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and I'm really wishing that Hugo wasn't dead. Because I could kill him. Maybe I'm tainted by my youthful indiscretion of watching the wretched Disney version, but I haven't read so many worthless, unimportant, random chapters since I tried to read the Bible!! Honestly, I feel I'm being insulted by this. I never thought I'd say this, but I wish I'd have gotten the abridged version. The story isn't bad, when I actually get to read something relevant to it, but there are just piles and piles of shit to wade through, it's maddening. I prefer Dumas 100%.
