New profile pic - I received some raw, unedited portrait/headshots from one of the gents I shot with, so what you're seeing up there is one of them. Still waiting on the rest of the sets, and trying to decide where to upload them when I get 'em. I could go back to Flickr, as I don't expect people are as likely to swipe non-nude sets, especially if the photographer went and put his own watermark on 'em, but I'm still nervous. So we'll see. If nothing else, I'll just message the gent helping me run my website and ask him to tack my own watermark on anything that isn't already protected.
An uneventful weekend ahead of me. I hope I can talk my mom into seeing a play with me on Friday, but we'll see. Things are busy down on the ol' farm right now, I guess.
I'd been seeing articles about an art exhibit (Taiwan: From Within The Mist) that was coming to Sioux Falls for several weeks, and since I got out of work early last Thursday, I decided I'd drag Nick to it as part of the whole "It's my birthday, we're doing what I want to do" thing. It fucking blew me away. I may not understand much about "art" (as the word is often bandied about) but when it comes to visual compositions, I am on firmer ground (sometimes it's all about the definition) and I just have to say that there were some really incredible pieces. I could easily have filled the walls of a room just to display my favorite parts of the exhibit - which I would happily do, in certain cases.
It's on a limited release, but seriously, if you get the chance, I recommend that everyone visit the exhibit. It's all from contemporary Taiwanese artists, and yeah, it's fucking amazing.
