Do you have a mobile? That doesn't use up much electricity and there is no charge to receive a call. It isn't considered unprofessional to give your employer a mobile number. Most people I know no longer have a landline. Mobile phones are cheaper and more flexible.

That is what I have.  I pay monthly for service.  I have been making it week-to-week on my paychecks.  After being off for 2 weeks over the Holidays, it has put me a bit behind.  I already used the little money I got for Christmas.  Trying to figure something out but not holding my breath.  All I have used is a mobile phone for like the last 8 years.  :D
