my two littlest cats have come into season & i need to get them spayed soon because i can't stand the constant fucking howling it's driving me insane!!!! for the love of god just make them shut up!
anyway....
Johhny fucking Truant!!
last night i waded through the masses of side partings, painfully tight jeans, scary skirts & clutch-bags at the first proper gig i've been to in ages.
first on were xmas lights , seen them a few times, they were pretty good, followed by the architects . i was really looking forward to seing them but the sound was a bit pants & so wasn't great but not the bands fault. the band that i really wasn't that fussed about seeing was waterdown but they actually turned out to be the band i enjoyed the most. they sounded great & they even covered my favourite refused song - rather be dead, and did it really well. that made my night
what the hell has happened to mosh pits these days?
it's been getting increasingly worse over the last couple of years, which is why i refuse to do it anymore.
it seems more about watching whats going on in the pit than watching & listening to the band in some ways...
...but olly from johnny truant put them straight. his first words when he got onstage were :
"lets close this big gap up, oxford, this isn't a fucking kung-fu show"
couldn't have said it better myself
most of the photos we took turned out pants but here's a couple:
waterdown
johnny truant
...and again
had a great time, they are by far the best metal band to come out of britain in a very long time. i was gutted that we had to leave early to catch the last train home, which we ended up missing anyway typical
