Ok, so since this is me and since I'm back, I'm going to bring the internet up to date on my whereabouts by making a list of To Did's and To Do's.
To Do's:
- get my credit cards under the limit - almost there. Mom & dad lent me some money to take some certification exams, so that's going to help greatly to this end
- get more certifications to help me get a better job - I'm gonna be taking my Network+ and Security+ within the next month. Network+ first, because I've already been studying for it, and Security+ partly because it's supposed to be a lot harder and I'm going to take more time preparing
- get a vehicle - well... this will have to wait until I have a better job
- go to the dentist - some day
- go to the optometrist - some day
- get a new tattoo - maybe for Christmas
- save for vet bills - we just took Blake in for some blood work and didn't have to put it on credit, so it's a good start
- get a new computer - thinking we should be able to get one for Christmas
- pay my best friend back the money I owe her - I should be able to get her fully paid back within the month
- save for Christmas so I don't have to put anything on the credit card - I've got this budgeted in, it just depends on our spending discipline
- get Steph's taxes in order - we need to get our heads out of the sand and deal with this. Since I've got a bit of extra money kicking around, we're going on Monday to get this fixed
To Did's:
- revamped my resume and have gotten a new occasional job out of it
- found out some coworkers were making more than me, so I balled up and asked for and got a raise (an extra $4/hr! W00t!)
- finally gutted the computer towers I got in the spring to see if I can make a functional computer out of them - doesn't look good. They're old as hell and it wouldn't be worth the $ to fix them up instead of getting a whole new computer
- gotten my credit card paid down enough to pop back in to SG
- stayed at home and sat around to spend as little money as possible until I got my money situation more under control

So, what have you guys been up to? Anyone working on paying down debt and getting paid a higher wage? What's worked for you?
