Well, my resolution list from two months ago has been going... not so well. Let's recap and refocus, shall we?
1. I want to make more money - this is easier when my primary employer actually pays me for the shifts/expense reimbursements I'm owed. To fix this I'm going to send out a dozen resumes to awesome-sounding and high-paying job postings over the next couple days. A few awesome ones have deadlines of tomorrow, so I can't dilly-dally on that.
2. I want to get into shape - again, this is easier when I'm working, bc I've got a pretty physical job. And the lack of funds has meant I haven't been able to afford to even go to the pool.
I'm going to make this an area of general self-care, which I think I've been pretty successful with. The other day Smurph and I bought a bunch of skin-care products that I've been using religiously. Nothing crazy fancy, just stuff that normal adults do to take care of themselves, like facial moisturizer with SPF 30, eye cream, makeup remover, a clay mask & apricot scrub... etc. I've also been cooking a lot (although notsomuch recording and posting to the food blog, but it's a start).
3. I want to write more - ye-ah.... I've done shit all of this.
4. I want to take more pictures - see response to above resolution.
I feel the need to add a few more resolutions considering how things have panned out these past couple months:
5. I want to make a schedule for myself and stick to it - without work or anyplace to go, I've been sleeping most of the day and doing dick-all. I'd really like to be a productive person with all my free time and not just waste oxygen. It's not like there's nothing I can doing. I'm plenty talented and creative. There are literally an unlimited number of things I could be doing with my time.
6. I want to call my family more - I know they'd appreciate it, and it was one of my resolutions at the beginning of the year. I've really got back at it.

I've read your food blog and I enjoy it, so I hope you'll post to it occassionally.
I've been telling myself for years I need to use my camera more often. But as you may have seen, I only took about a half dozen pictures at the gala. I always just feel so self-conscious pulling out my camera and trying to capture moments. Even when I visit my brother and his family, I have to force myself to take pictures of my adorable nephew.
A schedule? And sticking to it? Good luck! I've been spending much of my life trying to do that. Not very successfully.
