It's always difficult having fun on a family vacation, especially grownups with their own personalities. Wait to the next family vacation when you realize you've become the adult and your parents are now the children. And of course your daughter is going to act up on vacation; it's a completely new environment. My last g/f had a daughter about your girl's age. Around the end I loved the daughter and hated her. Your stepmom means well, I believe, but has an entirely different outlook on life. And now matter what you do, you're always wrong because it's not what she would do. Hey, at least you didn't get diarrhea. Hope your dental appointment goes well.

Yeah, I didn't drink the water directly, but I became addicted to these Mexican fruit/hibiscus drinks that normally were made with leche but once near the end of the tour got made with the agua.
Bad idea. At least I got tourist disgestive problems in a touristy part of Mexico, not in the middle of nowhere people living in cardboard and tin shacks part.

Heading to one of my favorite dive bars where the beer is cheep, the bartenders generous (and beautiful .. yes, they are all women) and the music is mostly David Allan Coe, Johnny Cash, Waylan Jennings and my favorite CD, the Copulation Compilation ... fun stuff ... Only problem, takes me a a day to recover afterwards ... but well worth it ...
