Random notes:

+ dyed mah hur
+ Aaron's dad is gone!
- His verdict was that I'm "a handful."
+ School starts monday, monday, monday!
I hope everyone read that last line as a monster truck ralley announcer.
Last night:
Let's start this with:
A. Aaron and I aren't really into the party scene.
B. When we do drink, it's not very much.
C. We aren't social butterflies.
BUT(t)
A. parties were the best way to meet all of Lisa's friends in a short period of time.
B. we need new friends
C. sometimes we need new experiences/steps outside the comfort zone
Driving through campus last night was like driving through a zombie movie. There are so damn many freshmen! People watching is great here. Most of them looked like they were walking advertisements for your local PREP or HOOCH-MART
I'm not really sure how many parties we were at last night. NOT because I drank. Because I actually didn't drink anything until the end of the night.....and that was water.
The first place we went was "the town homes." Now, I made a mistake early on. I'll admit that. I let a drunk girl give me directions. I didn't KNOW she was drunk at the time though. The town homes are VERY close to our apartment, but we kinda got steared AWAY from it. Thank goodness for sober Walgreen's boys who know the area.
It's a relatively small area, so we got back on track pretty quickly and picked up (drunk)Lisa and her (sober)friend Caroline with no problem after that.
That first party(which was probably a few because we went to a couple of town homes) was a little too loud/obnoxious/pointless for my liking. But I'm pretty sure I met all of the important females in "the group" there. They were all nice, I just need to meet them when they're sober.
After that we dropped off a couple of her friends to their dorm and went on to another dorm for another shindig where I would meet her gay boy friends and her gay boyfriend. That was a little more mellow and easier to communicate with people. I was formally introduced to the boys I kinda met while walking the Duckie earlier this week. I also got to watch Ryan perform every song on the radio and have a slightly drunken chat. I hope to meet him again when he's sober because I really liked that one.
Our last stop was Caroline's apartment. There was a party there too, but outside, so we went in to relax. She was my other favorite of the evening. She reminds me a bit of myself in places and it's comforting. We sat around there chatting with kettle corn and the afore-mentioned agua while Lisa sobered up. I was told I cannot escape hanging out with them now, it's settled. I don't mind one bit. I had a great time. Though I still don't think I'll be going to many parties if I can help it. I think I'd rather hang out with most of those people sober than not.
Today:
+ clean the apartment one last time before school starts and I have time for little else
+ give the Duckie a bath
+ give myself a shower
+ walk around campus with Lisa and Caroline so I have a clue
+ eat more kettle corn whilst watching MTV VMA's
