Hooray friday, and hello almost Easter holidays... well almost holidays. Bio kids have a week off from pracs, but we still have the joy of marking, and now there's 112 essay drafts in the intray with 10 days to sort them out... fingers crossed it won't get to the point where I flip out and kill people if anyone mentions hibernation or marsupials near me
Went out to the Kaiser Chiefs on Wednesday night- they were supported by Razorlight, and both were fantastic! Ricky Wilson was so amazingly full of energy I was getting tired just watching him throwing himself around the stage, and pit, and off speakers etc- and he has a beautiful voice that translates wonderfully to a live show, which was a really pleasant surprise! Being a mid week show we got home by midnight, and the only commitment for Thursday was teaching in the afternoon followed by a Swing class. Unfortunately, the biology lab didn't go super smoothly- a student that I've been copping a bit of attitude from finally overstepped the mark when he told me to shut up, so I told him he could "help himself" for the rest of the prac, and walked away to sniggers from all 4 boys sitting together- so I set the unit coordinator on him. I can put up with so much and brush it off, but it's come to the point where I can't, and shouldn't have to take that kind of bullshit behaviour from an 18yo, particularly when all I was trying to do was answer one of his questions- and he didn't like the answer (he was told he couldn't construct a mean from data taken at different time points). Well, what am I meant to do about it? Hold his fucking hand and write the assignment for him? I guess he didn't like being forced to think...
Tonight it's pool with the Venturers, followed by a Russian disco house party. I'm not Russian, but my best mate is, and if there's vodka and euro pop involved, then why not?

She was good in the park before, I think I just need to gain a little more respect so I have total control over her.
Have fun at your party
