I tried to do several sketches of the same model with different subject in mind, like portrait, portrait with a part of the body and full (or almost full!) body. I try to not spend too much time on them (30mins to 1h30) to focus more on stylization and gesture/line choices than just copying the photo. Observing how the lines flow and trying to find a good balance between realism and stylization is hard but fun !
