Christmas was great. Mellow but busy at the same time. I ate so many delicious "lace cookies" (super-thin, crunchy, buttery caramel and pecan thingies) and bourbon balls I think I gained 5 pounds. (It shows in Idjiit's ppictures, too!)
And for some reason, New Years Eve is still my favorite holiday. I think its the idea of newness, starting over, a clean slate. And a little melancholy and kissing...that old langs-eye (spelling anyone?) song and champagne. Dressing up, and reflection upon the year past....
So what was this last year about for me, you ask... Studying my ass off, for one. Being married for two. God that's horrible, they should be reversed... But I'll tell you why studying comes to mind before my marriage....
Because school was soooooooo much harder!! Marriage to lovely Idjiit has been almost effortless! Wonderful! He's not perfect, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Those of you who know him, which I'm sure is almost everyone reading this, are no doubt nodding your head in agreement!
Anyway, its been school, marriage and turning 30, fighting anxiety, and watching Bush be re-elected. A tumultuous year, but I made it, and I welcome 2005!
Hope you all had a wonderful xmas! Tell me, what are your new year's resolutions?
