Okay, if this community is one of outsiders, then I'm going to assume that a few of you have been in therapy at one time or another for various reasons. I have been. For 2 1/2 years in San Francisco I spent an hour a week with a brillant woman named Mary and talked about myself and my fucked up childhood and assorted, somewhat related issues.
It was the best fucking 2 years of my life! It really helped me get my shit together. If you have not been in therapy, I would highly suggest it!
Anyway, that all ended about three years ago when the lovely Idjiit and I moved out here to NC. Now I'm feeling increasingly more fucked up again (though not as bad as before, just different), so I'm think I'm gonna take the plunge and seek out another therapist.... Which is where you come in: All friends in the Raleigh area, do you have any referrals for brillant peoplesof the pyschologist persuasion? For those of you not in the raleigh area (that being most of you) do you have any recommendations for relaxation/ stress therapies?
To answer the most obvious question of "what's the problem?" The problem is anxiety, I think. Not depression, though being anxious and feeling fucked up is enough to make a person depressed once in a while.
