It's the reason why I stayed in tonite. Not that I need to explain (cuz I love all kinds of music), but I think I do have to mention that the reason I started listening to The Dixie Chicks was b/c of their "political" lyrics in "Goodbye Earl". But I guess country music sees that as an ok political-stance, where as the one they had to combat most recently, was not.
Also, The Police opened up with "Roxanne"! And there was the great duets, such as Ludacris w/Mary J. Blige, John Mayer w/Corinne Bailey Rae & John Legend. And Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flats (I'm not a big fan of either but...) doing Eagles' covers. Oh man, there were some really good performances. But not The Chili Peppers. Such a big lead-up to their performance and it wasn't all that great. And as always, I love hearing Christina's voice. I loved seeing Imogen Heap in her wonderful crazy creation outfit, but I don't think she won an award. Oh, I love award shows, don't ask me why. And now the weekend is over. Back to work.
