hah! i found this in my live journal. i wrote it 2 years ago after christmas. it made me laugh

my dad is ridiculous, i dont even know why i bother trying to get him anything for Christmas

he is always saying how he wants t-shirts, but he always wants XXL which limits my choices a bit, so i found a t-shirt at my college bookstore and it had my college and that it said Dad on it, so i thought he would like that since he always says he wants a shirt from my school

so he opens it and is like oh...thanks

then his girlfriend opens the necklace i got her and he goes "oh looks like you got nicer presents than i did"

so apparently my dad would rather have a necklace...asshole...

then he opens the xbox game i got him and i said "cliff said that was a good game"

so for the rest of the day he tells my whole family about the game that cliff got him....then i say "no i got that for you" and he says "well cliff picked it out" and i said "no he just told me it was a good game" and then my dad says "well i probably paid for this anyway" suggesting that i used all his money to buy my gifts, which i never do, i put them all on my credit card and then work all summer to pay it off...fucking jerk

besides that Christmas was okay i guess...

oh yeah and my dads girlfriend is way too nice to him, i could never deal with a man like him, he was talking about how after Christmas hes going to go on a diet blah blah blah and shes like "yeah i try to get him to eat fruit, i bought those little clementines, but he wont eat them unless they are peeled, so i usually peel them for him and leave them in a bowl for him so he can have them when he wants them" and hes like "yeah i cant take the time and peel those stupid things" like it takes a year or something...ridiculous

so we can add that to the list of everything she does for him on top of her working full time and not even living here (although she is moving in in february)...which is way too long
-cooks him dinner
-cleans the dishes
-buys the groceries
-cleans the house
-does his laundry
-and peels his clementines
