i HATE the fucking NYC MTA. give me back my fucking $76 for the month because today was ridiculous, how can i possibly be paying that much for the worst service ever.
heres a brief over view of my trek around 3 boroughs today.
i needed to be in Williamsburg at 5:45.
i leave my apartment wearing only my vest because it was rather warm out, get on the A at 5, get to 14Th street by 5:25. perfect, i thought, i will be right on time, if not earlier.
oh wait, the L train isn't running because its a weekend and why should the trains run on a weekend?
so now i have 2 options. take the E to queens, and transfer to the G and walk and somehow find my way without every being in that area before, or take a cab. i also left my little subway map at home, which would have been helpful. since i had about 20 minutes to get there, i decided i would spare the money on a cab, because i wasn't too far and it shouldn't be too much money.
$18 and 25 minutes later i am where i need to be.
the saga continues now 2 hours later, i need to leave to be back in Manhattan at 9PM at st. marks place. I don't want to spend cab money, so i figure i have the time to take 3 different trains to get there. after asking 6 people where the G train was, all giving me different and wrong directions, i just start wandering down Bedford ave, although now its pretty fucking cold and i don't have a coat. so i find a G stop, not the one i was aiming for, but still a subway none the less. i take the G to the E to the 6 and get to st marks at 9 on time.
hang out with my friends, have an okay time. around 2:30 we all start to head home. now from st marks i can do 3 things to get home. 1. walk back to 6th ave and 8th st to get on the A. 2. walk to 14th and 3RD ave and take the L to 8th ave and get the A. or 3. take the 6 to the E to the A. usually i prefer choice 1, walking, but tonight was freezing and i had no coat and was alone, and the L isn't running, so I'm only left with taking the 6 to the E to the A. at 3am the trains run so infrequently, having to transfer twice pretty much adds an hour onto your travel time. so i finally get off the E at 50th street, and since its late night the A should be stopping there, however since its a weekend everything is fucked up, so i get off the E and go to the uptown A platform and its closed. no A stopping at this street this weekend. the MTA guy tells me to take the E, the fucking train i just got off of, meaning wait ANOTHER 30 minutes for the next E train, downtown to 42 street and then transfer to the uptown A. that would take an hour for sure, so i said no thank you and walked 10 blocks to 59th street A train stop, in the freezing cold, with no coat. it took me 2 hours to get home from st. marks place. and a ridiculously annoying trip to Williamsburg which should have only taken 45 minutes.
and on top of all of that, I'm an asshole and my friends were assholes. making me not a very happy Lauren tonight.
I'm tired, i need to go to sleep.
thats me holding peter.

Peter's huge! She's bigger than Tucker, maybe by 2 lbs? I'm not good at estimating bunny weights.
