I made it to Canada and back!! The drive took about 6 hours even with potty and gas stops. It was pretty uneventful over all which is good because I was pretty nervous going by myself. I made it to TaoAndCoffee's work where I was meeting him for the end of his shift and he looked at me twice before he realized I was there. Silly boys. Apparently his coworkers, friends, and dad all approve of me. I think his dad approves because I talked to him about cars and home remodeling and watched a little hockey.
He took me to the Stoney Creek Escarpment which he says the French pronunciation is something like escarpMHAW. It was really cool with a waterfall from the melting snow.
And here's us on the escarpment overlooking the city.
I knew I was in Canada even though it's all the same chain stores I'm used to because the companies thought they were clever using all the same logos but added maple leaves. The Subway cups said Eat Fresh in English on one side and French on the other rather than Spanish.
I also got to see Lake Ontario and what I'm pretty sure is Toronto on the other side.
And from the escarpment
I got to try Timbits. I was underwhelmed. The local donut shop here has way better donut holes. I actually planned on bringing some with me but when I went to buy them they were fucking out! How does a donut shop run out of donuts!?!?!?
We hit every Starbucks in Stoney Creek since someone seems to have an addiction.

I was starting to wonder if you were being held captive in the Canadian wilderness, sweetie! No blog to read... I am so very glad you two had fun. You'll have to email details!!!
