Ok, time for the real blog I meant to post. Thanks everyone for the get well wishes. I felt like hell when my alarm went off this morning so I called in and as the day went on and the Nyquil wore off I felt well enough to go to work for a few hours.
I am back at our corporate office, one desk away from my old desk. This desk is much larger and nicer than the one I just left. Some of my coworkers must be crazy because they seem happy that I'm back.
My new boss has been pretty cool and actually wants to learn from ME!! What a neat feeling. He gave me a hard time for coming in today, he thought I should have stayed home to rest but we've discussed that there is no back up for my job if I'm not there so he understands.
I also shot a new set a few weeks ago that I'm hoping to submit for MR this weekend. Once I get the edited pics I'll post a few teasers. It was a weird idea and a non-staff photographer so it will be interesting to see what everyone thinks.
I also got to hang out with Zarphin and his totally adorable daughter a few weekends ago. She is the coolest, best behaved kid I've ever been around at that age. She didn't even get crabby when we went out to dinner and had to wait forever for a table and she must have been starving.
She's 19 months old and already loves to read just like her dad. It was so cute to listen to him reading to her in what I think was Grover's voice from Sesame Street.
And in most recent news I got to hang out with the totally awesome TaoAndCoffee again. We met in Port Huron, MI, where neither of us have spent any time so we kept getting lost. Luckily I have a sweet GPS app on my phone. Since we're such odd people we did the whole date thing in the wrong order. We stopped at a mall in PH and decided to see a movie there. Then we had dessert. Then we had dinner. A little backwards maybe? But that seems to be our style.
There was also a blizzard while we were there which didn't help us find our way any better. The pic above is us trying to stay warm near a fireplace.
