Last night, I dreamt. I was searching for an Asian market, but I kept getting lost in an ominous urban neighborhood. As I was about to give up, an Asian girl asked me what I was looking for. While I was explaining that I was looking for an Asian market, I noticed a small, wooden building unfolding behind her, as if constructing itself. It had a sign, stating that it was an Asian market, but it seemed more like a house's porch. There was someone else there, some NPC customer. The girl asked what I was interested in, and I told her that I wanted dry soba noodles. She showed me the dry soba noodles she had in her store. They seemed thin to me, so I asked her if they would thicken when cooked in water. She mumbled or gave an ambiguous answer, as I didn't understand whatever she said. Then, she offered me a bowl of soba noodles. She had a bowl, herself. We both used chopsticks. I couldn't tell if she was offering me a sample, before I was to buy the dry noodles, if she was serving me, as a waitress, and I would be expected to pay for the meal, or if it really was her home and I was a guest for lunch. Then, I noticed that it wasn't just soba noodles; there was calamari, too. The calamari was well prepared, although I don't remember there being any preparation. The cooked noodles and calamari had appeared on the shelf by the dry noodles. Sometimes, I would just bite through the plump part, and leave the gristly, tentacly part aside. I was slightly disgusted by the calamari, not because of the preparation, but because it was (formerly) part of a living creature.
