DUDE, GUESS I'M NOT GETTING A DELL...
Hey everybody, just a warning, don't buy a Dell if you need it anytime soon.
(or ever)
I ordered one on July 16th, estimated ship date was 30 Jul. It was to be for my little sister going away to college (I personally have a MacBook). The two weeks (including transit time) they quoted me was perfectly acceptable for a "custom built" system.
I canceled my order yesterday after 38 days of waiting, seeing the estimated completion date never change, multiple calls to "customer support" (who had no clue and could only say "sorry" or "thanks for choosing dell" a million times per call). Up until the point of canceling they were still "not sure" when it would be done, but "maybe" on the 23rd of August.
Bottom line, skip Dell unless you can wait over a month...but even then, check this url below first, read the comments on Dell's OWN site of the hundreds and hundreds of frustrated people they are screwing over.
