I think my job search is over... biggrin biggrin biggrin

I will have to commute a ways north of the city, but it will be well worth it, cuz I think I will enjoy my job and the pay is awesome. Probably 2-3 times what I am making now. eeek

I will find out more tomorrow when I call them for more details. biggrin

About my new pic - it is the Auguste Rodin sculpture Fallen Caryatid with Stone. Sometimes I feel like her. But it is not a totally bad thing, just check out how Robert Heinlein described her in Stranger in a Strange Land...

"This poor little caryatid has fallen under the load. She's a good girl---look at her face. Serious, unhappy at her failure, not blaming...

Yeah, so the CEO called me back the next day and I had my phone interview. I didn't make the second cut. But I did get a call from a headhunter guy today, so I gotta call him tomorrow to see what is up.

Sooo I called the company for my phone interview at 9:00 and got voicemail. frown I called a couple times and left a message once. Then I e-mailed and said I called and if they wanted to re-schedule to let me know. I did find a few more jobs and sent resumes in to other places though, so we will see how the hunt goes...

So my sister's boyfriend is in town for a few days, which is good, cuz he is cool.

Still trying to find a career job.

Boo for job hunting. Just a stab in the dark, is the U.S. Post Office hiring in your neck of the woods? My friend works for them here in Portland and he does alright financially.

*warning, self-pity ahead*

So what is it about me that freaks people out? Do I care too much too soon? Honestly, it seems like any time I am interested in a woman, whether as a friend or maybe something more everything is fine for a little while and then wham, too much of something happens and suddenly people can't handle me at all. Like they...

So I need to get a real job...this waiting to do stuff sucks.

I send out resumes, apply online, get no call backs...I would be thrilled if I even got an email or call saying sorry man, you suck.

ARGH.

Yup, i feel your pain.

So I successfully mopped those few days ago. Problem is, it's about time to do it again

I know what you mean about finding a real job. It's a pain I am also going through at the moment.

In regard to your question about taping, I do a my friends and I do a comedy local talk show here in Portland. We did it for a year in the rock and roll clubs and now it is being put on local tv. Although we are selling advertising space, most of our income is going into investing into the show. Unless we move toward a bigger deal, I can't see the show being my sole source of income. Still, it is very fun and fulfilling. We have been very fortunate that crowds have turned up for our shows and the local press has been very kind.
