What are your tips & tricks for staying healthy or kicking a cold?
@missy and @rambo
With it being the dead of winter (and having three children- two of which are in public schools 😱😷) my house hold often gets everything going around. Unfortunately tho, my middle child is special needs and cannot be allowed to get sick or her body shuts down. Very dramatic to experience. That being said, we've picked up tricks over the years.
Obviously is starts with having a clean environment. Keeping the kitchen and bathrooms clean the most, washing hand, blah blah blah. Hand sanitizer can be found all over my house. Can you tell I'm domesticated?
Once the colds do inevitably infiltrate the house, we switch our routine up a bit. Adding teas, natural honeys (cannabis honey for the adults), humidifier in bed rooms, showers with eucalyptus, garlic in everything and then my favorite- home made soup with boiled down chicken for a bone broth... Mmmmm. From there any soup can be made. Green Chili Stew, Posole, Zuppa Toscana, Etc.
With my special needs child, nothing will work to help her other than the steroids I give her throughout the day- everyday. But every attempt to keep her healthy is a must. 💚
I'd really like to know what you guys do to stay healthy. This was just a quick summary of what I do in my home- but the list goes on, depending on the illness.

A simple drink I take during the season, I call it a Sunrise: 50/50 Fresh Orange Juice & sprite or 7up. Add Emergen-C if youre out of OJ or Oranges. Broth/Soup is great, don't forget heavy Onion as well (similar to Garlic: antioxidants). I put an oil called Thieves in our humidifiers (sold by Young Living). Best of luck to the littles and you!

This year's flu was just violent. I've learned that you have to get the flu shots about two weeks ahead of exposure, or they won't have had enough time to take effect (which makes sense). I ended up getting it a little late this year and learned that the hard way.
