I'm not normally one to be intimidated by travel, but the prospect of racing over London has me highly worried. Well if Jeremy Clarkson can make it I'm sure I can. shocked Any and all tips for first time visitors highly appreciated. surreal

Then it's a piece of piss - buy yourself an Oyster card, pick up a Tube map and you're set. A pocket-sized A-Z would also be a sound investment. You'll be fine, ya big drama queen...

Sorry I've been kind of sucky around here lately, you'd think with all the free time and such I have I'd be able to reply to everyone and be more active and such but it seems the more time I have the less time I feel I have to use it.

I have a pair of friends who are off to Japan this year for the second time. They can't get enough of it.

Also, I would come to more meets, if I wasn't so shy. blush I'll try.

Train travel is evil.

In the past six weeks I've been travelling in a perpetual triangle between Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling. And it doesn't seem like life shall be slowing down any time soon, with trips back and forth planned for the rest of the month, and heading to London to visit the the lovely SGUK come August. It really is hard to be busy...

It's that time again when I reach out to you all and ask you one of the most important questions I ever ask anyone: Got anything good to read? Having just finished the last in a series that I care strongly for I am feeling pensive and require something new to add to my library. Preferably something with sequels as I tend to lock myself...

I was asking people for reading lists the other day, what sort of genre of book do you prefer reading?

I'm just re-reading the Val McDermid books, they're psychological thrillers and are very well written and suitably scary.
Or Labyrinth and Sepulchre by Kate Mosse, they take a bit of getting in to but I really enjoyed them both, sort of modern/fantasy at the same time with a split (but converging) plot line.
itachi:
Thanks. And it wasn't meant to look serious. I just tend to take mean pictures frown

Yeah. My favourite's the crazy stuffed toys around the washing machine.

I'm actually very seriously considering something along those lines.

Why do the people who've hurt us always seem to know when to contact us to twist the knife? Even seemingly healed wounds can be torn asunder.

Edit: Please disregard alcohol fuelled downer, it's not a serious issue.
barny:
Always. But isnt that what helps us move on in the end? I sorta think the more hurt the more you can get over it. but Dam, i wish we didnt have to have all the painful experience and could skip to the good bit.
love the profile pics! they look awesome

The weekends alcohol shenanigans aside, I'm still riding high on the euphoria of having completed my course. With a final bursary payment and other funds coming in I am one very de-stressed person. I had a wonderful phone call from job-seekers allowance people to tell me that they're going to call me on Thursday, I love bureaucracies. shocked So I think I'll start the job hunt...

Money issues aside, try to enjoy the time you have before starting work, it'll never come again!

(I sound like my mum, oh dear)
ikaruga:
true. however, employment usually does bring more funds for said alcohol-fuelled shenannigans...

just a thought.
