Yesterday while driving up my farm road I came across a buzzard that had dive-bombed a pigeon, and was in the process of plucking him. As it's a single track road and I was moving relatively fast the buzzard took off and flew away, leaving this poor stunned bleeding mess in the middle of my road. I brought him home with me and he's somehow managed to survive overnight. He's now living in a large old parrot parrot cage and seems quite content, if somewhat worse for wear. I'll get some pictures of him when he doesn't look quite so miserable and we can release him again.

we rescued a pigeon last year and it turned out it was nestling so we had to return it. also, they carry about 5 different strains of airborne infections in their shit so i hope you're keeping it in a well-ventilated place!
