I'm so fucking fed up of being broke
My parents gave us $1,500 about 3 weeks ago (although I really didn't want to ask them. I'm 33, not 18 you know) so that we basically could survive until I start work and get paid (early October). Totally unexpectedly, in the last week, we've been obliged to spend $1,100 for the fucking car that's just decided to fall apart right now. Problem is, we need it to drive to Chicago in 10 days. So I think we're not going to eat for 3 weeks.
It's going to be absolutely fantastic to be in a 4-star flat paid by the company for one month and have to eat bread & water every day, not being able to go out either. I can't begin to imagine what we would have done if they hadn't offered to pay for the flat...
And in case you were wondering, no, I can't get a loan since I have no credit history in the US. Banks are not interested in knowing that I managed (and have the papers to prove it) not to be overdraft once in 9 years of life in England and have no debts whatsoever. It wasn't in the US, so it doesn't exist. And N has so many debts thanks to having decided one day to study for a degree that she won't be accepted for another loan anywhere. This is just great.
When we rent our place from Oct 15th on, the only piece of furniture we'll most likely be able to buy for a while is a bed... I'm too old for this kind of shit.
