I hadn''t noticed that I've been away for over a month.
Then again, truth be told, there is really nothing much to tell, I mean, there has been a couple of things going on , but I guess that being busy also kept me distracted.
Anyway, last month we shoot two short films at school, in one of them I was script, erm, boy? i think the neutral term would be script supervisor. In the other i resumed as art director. Both went really well.
The first one was a parody of racist and xenophobic politicians, specially a local guy that has become quite infamous for his almost impossibly stupid propaganda bits on tv. That one was quite fun, but a bit scary sometimes, cause a couple of times we had to recreate a political rally, and well, being an ultra xenophobic character, let's just say there was a lot of explaining to do to people walking by in order to avoid getting our asses kicked.
The second film was an autobiographic story by the director, Santi, this retired guy that went to school with us. It's basically how he had to leave his passion for films behind to get a job, but returning to his dream later in his life. It was very fun, we had to rebuild a movie theater from the 50's (well, a section of it) in the set, from what I could see on camera, it looked very good, specially for the very loe budget we had.
Other than that, same old same old, my mum is leaving this wee after a couple of months, I love the woman, but she is driving me nuts, clich as it sounds, yet true.
And that, like they say, is the state of the union.
Oh, i also got me polaroid camera and a book about light in cinema for my birthday, so yea, I am a geek, but a happy one.
Also, I miss my girls Araid and Sper so much, but that ain't new
cheers boy and girls, be happy
Rafa
