Well I suppose it has been a while since I've written... not that my life is so exciting and you all need to keep up.
Thanksgiving was typical... lots of food and family arguments.
I finally rented the first season of Queer As Folk... I've never seen it. Hopefully I can coerce my friends into watching it tonight in their drug-induced stupor, heh heh. *rubs hands together*
I love Joyce Carol Oates' "gothic" literature... currently reading Haunted: Tales of the Grotesque, and I can't put it down. She writes these quirky little stories that don't end how you'd expect... and it's not gory or anything like that. These stories remind me a lot of Poe. They're pyschologically fascinating. I am so amazed by this woman... she has written SO many books, and now I just discovered she's written even more under a pseudonym. And she probably has other pseudonyms as well. She just has this ability to write from a million different perspectives, and she must have such a breadth of knowledge because she is able to sound like an "expert" in so many fields and she incorporates so many unique (and often academic) references into her novels.
Side note: My dog is super cute.
