Yowza!
First off, thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes -- much love to y'all
Today has been on of the best birthdays I've had in a long while. Got in a good workout at the gym and was able to fly through the 1/2 day of work. One of the uber-programmers hacked my system and altered my homepage, which happens to be Fangoria's website. He put "happy birthday" shit all over their site by modding the code. Way cool!
Got home and threw on my mod pinstripe suit, black shirt and Kenneth Cole tie. While I might not appear it, I do have a ton of fashion sense and know enough to own dress clothes that make people take notice (see example below).
The interview was at a joint on 45th and 5th -- took no time to get there even with the "G" and having to transfer (good sign). Stopped by Asahiya bookstore and flipped through the latest issues of Hyper Hobby (for Japanese toy nerds such as I, this is the best magazine). The consultants I had to initially go through seemed like they were super busy. People were running around and there were a ton of folks waiting to talk to said runners. My time came up, got prepped and then called a few minutes later. The woman I interviewed with would also be my boss...if hired. She rocked and we hit it off really well! Her background was similar to mine and after 15 minutes we set up another interview. The Consultant told me on the way out that she was super impressed Ding!
Now dig this (and yeah, this is the example)...as I'm walking out I notice this very, very hot redhead giving me the eye...ME! Wow So we did eye tag for a bit and I should drop her my number on Monday when I go back there...
Got back here to find some birthday cards from the folks and then headed down to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn to my favorite Middle Eastern supply store Sahadis. This place is amazing!!! The Freshest dried fruits, nuts, cheese, olives, oils, tahini...tons of rice, couscous, lentils, spices, grains, candies...when you walk in you're head starts to spin at everything there -- plus it's cheap!
So...it's been a rad day and now it's time to clean the apartment and start baking. I'm covering all bases but happened upon some of my favorite cookies that (after closer inspection) are fully vegan. Who woulda thunk?
