Ah...my future wife Campbell has a set up. Ay yi yi...
Is it me or is the new, redesigned SG site slow? Might also be my shitty DSL connection. Verizon, pucker up ya bastards 'cause soon you'll be kissing my Greek ass!
Dig, the last few weeks have flown by and frankly I have no idea what's been going on. Pokemon has been keeping me BUSY and then some, which is cool although I do miss having the free time at night that I did at my last job. But not much, mind ya.
Last weekend was a slobberknockin' event that all in the area should have gone to -- talk about mucho fun! The ACE bar rocked...great environment, super-cheap drinks (vodka & tonic for $3 at happy hour / $5 regular !?!?!) and of course, the nifty NY SG crew!
Movies to watch:
+ Pride and Prejudice -- talk about a surprise! This one sucked me in and had me from the first ten minutes. Kira Knightly was amazing, much better than the two-dimensional character she played in Domino.
+ Cassanova was another surprise. I was on the fence about whether or not I liked Heath Ledger, but this one won me over! It's a scream -- well worth watching Jeremey Irons CHEW THE SCENESE AND LOVE IT! You could tell that everyone was having a blast with this movie. I sure did and so will you!
+ The New World. Beautiful...sad. Very, very sad. There's hardly any dialogue in this movie, but the actors all do an amazing job with their speaking / non-speaking parts. Even Colin Ferrel was somwhat good.. especially when you consider that he was hardly in the movie! Highly Recommended{/b]
I just got Bauhaus: Gotham DVD in the same day I watched The New World so I doubled my angst by watching this fantastic concert DVD. The quality of the fotage isn't bad but it does lend a nice gritty DIY aspect to the show. This was filmed in '98 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Since I'm not going to get to see them on Saturday I'll have to re-watch this and imagine I'm at the show.
Monday I get to hang with the very cool illstabyou and next Friday is more tattoo'in!
Hope ya'll are gettin' more lovin' than I am! Oh yeah, and get yer ass outta the house! It's summer
