Well...this last week has been interesting to say the least!
Friday the new girlfriend (?) and I went to her friend's house for a dinner party...that turned into a super drinking fest! Man...both of us were beyond trashed, leading to much bumping, falling, urp-ing and sloppy sex! and sleep...much sleep.
Saturday started in the early afternoon, which wasn't good since I had to shoot the stuff for Empire Magazine. I did make an exception, though since I enjoy hanging out with her and she also took me out for lunch!
The shoot went well - ran longer than what I thought, but finished up late on Saturday. Sent off 82 photos (more on that later).
Sunday I had to clean up and return the strobes along with attempting to find something at Macy's -- I had a gift card which went unused when I found that the "sale" prices here in the city sure as hell were not as good of a deal as what I find in Florida...or online.
Monday = second job interview at Ziff Davis! That went really well
That night I checked my email and found that Indiana University had contacted me about an Art Director position. That was very, very good
Did my taxes...got back some money, but $500 less than last year
and then did my state taxes and I'm either going to owe $87 if I don't list that I live in "New York City" (which I technically don't but I don't think that'll sail) or FUCKING $1680
If I owe that much then that'll suck up my federal return AND I'll have to pay out of my pocket.
Someone tell me again why I'm still staying here? Oh yeah, 'cause this town is made to trap you and not in a good way.
Stay away...very far away...
Bands with misleading names:
+ Eagles of Death Metal: Leans more to "The Eagles" than anything remotly "Metal".
+ Death Cab for Cutie: what happened to the day when people called their bands something that made listeners go "yeah...that's a perfect title" rather than "jolly good naming, chap! Very clever and witty..."
