Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'...
The week flew by in a glorious haze of alcohol, dates, toys and old-school rap.
First off, check out the set by Mr. Thing at the Beta Lounge -- amazing! Some sick mixes...
Wednesday was a dual party night. the WIRED store had sent me an invite to a party...which would have been a no-go outside of the fact that people attending would receive a free $129 remote control. So hell yeah I went! One difficult thing was that it overlapped my corporate christmas party, but hey -- a new expensive electronic equipment or doing a party with people I see day in, day out. Hmm....
The store is pretty cool and worth checking out...but not a place you shop at since everything is $$$. Got the remote and showed up at the corporate party 1 1/2 hours late and ran smack dab into the CEO. D'oh! Blew that one off, though and made a beeline for the bar. By then I had already had 2 beers and no food since 6:00 a.m.
With only an hour and change left before the end of free booze I decided to double up on what I was drinking, so I had double vodka and tonics! Slamming 6 of those babies in 60 minutes had me feeling good. 9:00 p.m. rolled around and I split, stumbled to a pizza joint and got some good pizza and came back to the crash pad to...crash!
Thursday at work was pretty nappy -- sobered up around 1:00 p.m. -- just in time for another party that night! Yeesh. That night was the volunteer party for MOCCA, which was pretty fun. They handed out door prizes and I won a Simpson's wall clock! This cool thing has Homer's face on it and the eyes follow the second hand which has a can of Duff beer on it. Swanky!
Friday was going well until the last 15 minutes at work. I had plans on heading over to Sahadi's with a co-worker who had never been there. Naturally a problem popped up and we ended up leaving late. Then the "F" train supposed 'breaks' down, which I believe was horsehit. I lean more to the first tremblings of soft strike. Anyway, we had to cab it, but got to Sahadis in time. Woo hoo!
That night I had an AWESOME date. Damn, it's been a long time. Very cute girl and we talked a ton - which was also super nice. Great dinner and she asked me to stick around a bit longer for a drink, which extended the date a bit longer. Walked back to the train and had a sweet kiss goodnight. Yea!

Your Simpson wall clock reminds me that I saw the best Simpson tattoo ever the other day. It was a heart with a ribbon that said "Moth" in it.
