READING
Synopsis
Cormac McCarthy's bleak vision of the American landscape has always had a cataclysmic undertone, so it comes as no surprise that THE ROAD is actually set in a post-apocalyptic world of ash and bitter cold where cannibalistic marauders roam the countryside. In this dire place, a man and his son travel towards the sea armed only with a revolver and two bullets. Their love for each other is fierce, but the son begins to realize that his father has, in his desperation, become as savage and brutal as the world around him. Cormac McCarthy writes with a searing white heat, his images and language strike deep in the reader, and his vision of humanity is inexorable and haunting

It's crazy what I've been up to. Coordinating all the performance (both theatrical & fire), curating all the art, helping wrangle decor... for a HUGE burner bash in chicago, and because this is Chicago, it's considered a rave. Still flyin' under the radar at... how old am I? 28? No, 32? Yeah, that's it. 32. hehe.
You feel old, buddy?? I coulda given birth to over half the people who will be in attendance at this shindig... at least in the age-sense. I think that would be physically impossible, since we're expecting about 300 people and I don't think I could be a mother to 151+ bebes. Ay yi yi.

Funny how the past never quite goes away, isn't it?
I love your new photo (in your "Skottie's pad" pics folder). You look so sweet and soulful.
I have yet to finish a Cormac McCarthy novel. All of that macho atavism, emotional desolation and brutal realism is just a tad too much for my magical realist heart.
Ciao, darlin'.
